Big spender or window shopper, whatever your preferred style, West Lothian delivers all the retail therapy you could want. For starters there are two fantastic shopping centres - Livingston Designer Outlet Centre and The Centre - which between them, offer hundreds of brand names in fashion, sportswear, footwear and interiors.

Positioned in the heart of Livingston in a relaxed environment, The Centre has all the shops, restaurants and style you would expect from the high street. You'll find today's most popular brands and stores as part of their major new development.

Livingston Designer Outlet Centre has over 90 stores which stock designer labels at discount prices. You'll find many of the best brand names here alongside several cafes and restaurants serving tasty cuisine.

Whether you're nipping in for a quick shop or staying all day you'll find all the extras you'd expect from modern shopping centres: family-friendly cafes and restaurants, children's play areas, baby-changing facilities, free parking, a calendar of events - and a cinema and health club!

Traditional Town Centres

West Lothian's traditional town centres of Linlithgow, Bathgate, Broxburn, Armadale and Whitburn. There you'll find everything from High Street chains to one-off specialist shops - not forgetting plenty of places to stop and recharge your batteries over a coffee or quick Baskets at Linlithgow Farmers Market bite to eat.

One of the traditional town's greatest assets is the quality and diversity of local businesses. It would be difficult not to find something that takes your fancy amongst this varied selection of retailers with specialist cake makers, bridal wear stores, florists and delicatessens. Your head will be spinning from the choice of gift shops, jewellers, coffee shops and quality clothing premises.

Markets

Bathgate has a thrice-weekly market which draws visitors from far and wide every Wednesday 10am - 3pm, Friday and Saturday 10am - 4pm. The market offers an Aladdin's cave of local goods and produce at bargain prices.
