Euan put a great deal of research into his idea with the help of the Business Gateway service in Livingston to determine the demand of potential drivers in West Lothian and the competition he faced. He was put in touch with Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust who awarded funding to Euan. This allowed him to lease his first vehicle and purchase roof signage. By the time Euan had gained his instructor's certificate he already had 6 pupils lined up for driving lessons. He began trading from his home base but demand for his services made it possible for Euan to take office space in Murraysgate Industrial Estate in Whitburn. This gives him an ideal base for pupils sitting their theory test. Euan started with one car - a modern-style Mini with his own distinctive professional livery and roof signage. He prides himself on the level of customer care and service he provides as well as the quality of his driving instruction. Many of Euan's new pupils arrive at his driving school through word of mouth recommendation. From a small group of pupils in 2003 Euan has now built up a much larger clientele. So much so that he took on his first driving instructor in October of 2004, quickly followed by a further three. Euan now has 15 cars on the road.
