New business is the lifeblood of any area.

West Lothian's Business Gateway team deliver a full range of services designed to meet the needs of all those wishing to start a new business, buy into a business opportunity or become self-employed.

We can offer help and assistance including:

Business Gateway works closely with the Prince's Trust Youth Business Scotland (PTYBS) providing additional support, including grants & loans for young people aged between 18 and 26 who want to start a business.

Individuals who are starting in business as a registered childminder may be able to benefit from a grant of up to £250 to meet the Care Commission's requirements. Applications should be made through the Business Gateway prior to being fully registered with the Care Commission.

Over 80% of new businesses assisted by the Enterprise Centre are still going strong after two years.
