In brief, the law says that: employers must look after the health and safety of their employees; employees and the self-employed must look after their own health and safety; and all employers and employees must take care of the health and safety of people who are affected by their work. This is enforced by a Health and Safety Executive. They can help you to look after your Health & Safety compliance by showing you how to take some simple steps to get organised.
