Maxi nets praise for role in £2.6m sports complex

Thu, Aug 12 2010

Livingston building firm Maxi Construction has been praised for its role in the provision of a new West Lothian top quality sporting facility.

Broxburn United Sports Club's (BUSC) new clubhouse and third generation synthetic pitch at Albyn Park was officially opened by West Lothian Council Leader Peter Johnston and sportscotland Chief Executive Stewart Harris.

Maxi was Principal Contractor for the construction of the clubhouse building which provides 10 changing rooms, officials rooms, community club/social space and a physiotherapy centre. BUSC club secretary Alan Cunningham said: "The new facilities are superb and will make a real difference to the whole Broxburn community, as the clubhouse will now become a sporting and social hub. Maxi Construction have delivered a first class facility and their 'Star Player' was Contracts Manager, Andy Fraser. Andy was on top of things from day one and his communication style and helpfulness was really appreciated by our design team and club members."

The project is the culmination of over a decade of hard work by local community volunteers, and delivers excellent facilities to the club's 650 members and the wider community in the Broxburn area.
