PSYBT celebrating youth enterprise in West Lothian

Wed, Mar 10 2010

An event to celebrate youth enterprise and promote the work of the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) in West Lothian takes place this month.

PSYBT's annual gathering for 2010 takes place on 24 March at Deans Community High School.  The event provides the opportunity for all those with an interest in the work of the PSYBT to find out more.

This year the spotlight will be on a group of 6th year pupils at the school. The students have worked up a business proposal to produce and market the "Envirobin" - a range of fun but functional bins to encourage young people to recycle.

Pupils and staff at the school will join the PSYBT network of staff, volunteers and PSYBT supported businesses in a "Dragons Den" style event.  The "Deans Enterprises" group of pupils will present their business proposals and be quizzed and advised by a panel of PSYBT mentors and business owners.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to review the activities of the PSYBT over the previous year.

PSYBT in West Lothian is supported by West Lothian Council's Business Gateway service.  It is Scotland's leading charity in providing essential finance and support to 18 - 25 year olds so that they can set up and run their own business.
