Cyberhawk nominated for John Logie Baird award

Thu, Feb 18 2010

Livingston-based Cyberhawk Innovations has been nominated for a John Logie Baird Award.

The firm provides unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) for inspections & surveys uses, providing greater access, greater time efficiencies and great economies.

The cutting-edge UAV technology, previously only available to government agencies and the military, has even been used by the Scottish Rugby team to help analyse their training sessions.

Douglas Walker, a spokesman for the firm, said: "It's amazing to see our technology being used in this way. As a proud Scot, I'm delighted if we can assist the boys."

The UAVs can provide a range of services that utilise HD video equipment, high resolution still cameras, thermographic and thermal imaging sensors.

The prestigious awards winner will be announced on 12 March 2010.
