Livingston's new food pasport initiative gives shoppers in West Lothian a chance to win a £4000 dream holiday.
The Food Passport, run by shopping destinations The Centre, Livingston and the Livingston Designer Outlet, offers diners the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to one of the countries associated with the centres' eight participating eateries - Mexico, America, India, Italy, China, Portugal and Japan. Diners simply have to gain two stamps on their 'Food Passport' and answer the tie-breaker question to get on board and become eligible for the prize - they could find themselves eating their way to a holiday in the sun. Jennifer Bruce, Marketing Manager at The Centre, Livingston said: "I'm sure our Food Passport will be greatly welcomed by shoppers, especially at a time when people may still be feeling the pinch post Christmas. "I think the Food Passport is a fantastic way of promoting Livingston's lively food offer as well adding a little sunshine to what is sure to be a cold and grey February." Fiona Cochrane, Marketing Manager for Livingston Designer Outlet added: "Livingston is well known as a top shopping destination in Scotland so the Food Passport idea is a superb way of highlighting that we have a global mix of eateries too. "Plus with the World Cup only months away, I am confident shoppers will embrace the opportunity to experience some international cuisine." Food Passports are available, free of charge, from participating restaurants and the customer service desks at The Centre, Livingston and the Livingston Designer Outlet. They will include full details of the initiative, the many discounts available and terms and conditions. The initiative will run between 7th February and 5th April 2010 and only valid in the evening from 6pm.
