With over 70 roundabouts across the district, West Lothian Council is offering large or small businesses the opportunity to advertise 365 days a year at very affordable rates. Companies who currently sponsor roundabouts include Matt Purdie & Sons, The Vu Restaurant and B&Q.
Costs for advertising start at £100 per sign per month. Payment is by easy monthly Direct Debit. There is also an initial one off charge to cover the cost of manufacture and erection of signs, ranging from £250 for one sign to £700 for four or more (all prices are subject to VAT). We think this provides very good value when compared to the cost of press advertising and our sponsors seem to agree - Jane Gilburt of Claylands Children's Nursery was so pleased with the response to their recent sponsorship of a Broxburn roundabout that they have already taken another sign at Oakbank, Livingston! David McKim of U Drive comments that he has also had a positive response to his advertisement on Campus roundabout in Livingston. The maximum number of signs available on a roundabout depends on the number of approach roads - whilst a sign facing each approach provides maximum advertising, a sponsor can have just one sign even if a roundabout has, for example, 4 approach roads. A licence is required to permit advertising and some restrictions apply. For further information and roundabout availability, telephone 01506 775238 or email isobel.love@westlothian.gov.uk.
