Wed, Jul 01 2009

The Centre in Livingston now offers holiday makers a fresh destination for booking their next trip, with the recent arrival of The Co-operative Travel.

The Co-operative Travel agreed a lease on a 1,334 sq ft, dual floor unit, on a 15 year lease, at the shopping destination owned by Land Securities which spans almost 1million sq ft and boasts 155 retailers.

The Co-operative Travel is part of the Co-operative Group, and operates more than 400 high street travel agencies, a business travel operation, call centres, and a specialist cruise sector.

Alison Niven, Director of The Centre, said: "Customers are delighted with this latest addition to The Centre - The Co-operative Travel offers another option to shoppers when planning their holidays.

"This new letting adds to our impressive range of retailers and demonstrates our commitment to making The Centre a shopping destination which caters for every customer's need."

Nicola Mead of the Co-operative Travel, said: "We are delighted to have such a central location in a vibrant shopping centre. As the UK's largest independent travel agency, The Co-operative Travel is not tied to one particular tour operator, which allows us to offer the very best deals to everyone."

Culverwell acted for Land Securities, McFarlane & Co acted for Co-operative Travel.

Cushman & Wakefield, Culverwell and Montagu Evans are joint agents for The Centre in Livingston.
