Lumsdaine House Band B boss Margaret Millican has had the healthy eating standards at her Linlithgow establishment recognised with a prestigious award.
Margaret, who runs Lumsdaine House on Lanark Road, has been in the business for 3 years. And recently she celebrated becoming the first B and B in Linlithgow to gain the healthyliving award. She said: "I am delighted to have achieved this award and I really enjoy what I do. My visitors like to know what they're eating is healthy and we're hoping to change the unhealthy perception of Scotland". The healthyliving award from Consumer Focus Scotland rewards catering establishments for dishing up healthier food and finding ways of helping their customers make better food choices. At least 50 per cent of the food on the menu must be labelled as healthy living choices. Margaret's healthy food choices, including home baking, helps to tick all these boxes as well as allowing her business to be awarded 4 stars in the AA ratings.
