Shona Sibbald New Business of the Year Award 2008
This award aims to recognise the outstanding contribution to the local economy made by new businesses. Eligibility: Businesses may apply providing they meet the following criteria: - Under female ownership, female partner or director
- Formed between 1 January 2005 and 1 January 2007 (trading 1-3 years)
- Based in West Lothian
What the judges will be looking for: - The overall strength of the business concept
- Development of business idea
- Potential for future growth
- Vision for the future
- Value to the economy

Woman Employee of the Year Award 2008
This award aims to recognise the outstanding contribution made by a woman in her workplace. Eligibility: - Employed by a West Lothian based organisation

- Membership of the West Lothian Women in Business group is not necessary to enter any of these awards.
- All finalists will be invited to attend an interview with the judges at the end of April 2008.
- Awards will be presented at an Awards Dinner in the Deer Park, Livingston on 29th May 2008.
- Award winners and runners up must be prepared to take part in any publicity organised by the promoters of the awards.
- You can only apply for one category.
- Members of the Women in Business Steering Group, Judges and Employees of West Lothian Council Economic Development Service and Sponsors are not eligible to enter.
- The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries must be completed and returned by 11 April 2008.
