Standards to Aim For

There are a large number of industry and business standards in the UK. Listed below are a few useful ones that may be worth considering for your business.
 

Investors in People (IIP)
Investors in People provides a national framework for improving business performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet these objectives.

Charter Mark
Charter Mark is the national standard of customer service excellence and is the Government’s national standard for excellence in customer service. It is a registered certification mark, which is owned by the Cabinet Office.

British Standards Insitution (BSI)
The BSI are responsible for preparing British Standards that are used in all industries. BSI is the UK member of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and represents British interests at international standards discussions.

British Quality Foundation (BQF)
BQF aims to promote the use and understanding of excellence as a basis for achieving improvements in performance relevant to the needs of all enterprises and organisations. Provides seminars, conferences, publications, and other services and activities, including the UK Quality Award.

Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA)
The IQA advances the knowledge of quality management and practices to achieve greater awareness with UK businesses of the importance of quality performance.

European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)
A membership based, not for profit organisation, created in 1988 by 14 leading European businesses, with a mission "To be the driving force for sustainable excellence in Europe" and a vision of a world in which European organisations excel.
