West Lothian Youth Action Project was set up to tackle youth issues in Livingston. It is an independent voluntary organisation with charitable status. The project is now also involved in a West Lothian Council initiative tackling antisocial behaviour among young people.

The Project Director manages a team of 27 +and volunteers.
Theorganisation is steered by a management committee including representatives from Social Work (Youth Crime), Lothian and Borders Police, Community Education, Local Councillors, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Ecumenical Church and other independent members.
